Choosing the right school for your daughter is a very important decision, with many factors to take into consideration: what the school is able to offer your daughter and where she will be happy and able to thrive are likely to be high on your agenda. A good school means different things to different people. For some it is the academic outcomes of a school that define its excellence. For others it is the breadth of the school’s curricular and co-curricular activities. Many people are interested in the facilities a school has to offer, while for others it is the software that matters – the ethos and values of the school. Choosing the right school for your daughter is not easy. We aim to help you through the whole process, making it as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
We strongly encourage interested parents and students to visit the school and see what makes life at Potch Girls High so special. Visiting us will provide you with the opportunity to see the school in action, meet staff and students and have your questions answered.
Girls generally enter in Grade 8. Sometimes, places may become available in the higher grades- the admissions office will be able to advise on the availability thereof.

Open Mornings and Visits
Potch Girls High’s Open Days are always very popular for prospective pupils and their families. We offer two open days annually: in March and June. Although it is possible to appreciate a school from what you see on the website we would recommend that you visit us to be able to fully appreciate the all round, holistic education that we would offer your daughter at Girls High.
Open Days provide you with the opportunity to meet the Headmistress, Staff and Pupils and to see the school “in action”. It is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and most importantly enable you to find out first-hand what our school can offer your child.
We also welcome families for both individual and small group appointments. A typical visit will include an individual school and hostel tour with the Marketing Officer. We encourage you to bring your daughter with you.
See our events calender for more information about open mornings.
If you decide that you would like to apply for a place at the school, you need to complete the application form.
Applications open 31 March 2013 and close at the end of July 2013. Places are limited, so early registration is advisable. The application forms can be collected at the school office or downloaded from the website . Please ensure all the required documentation is submitted with the application forms.
