“Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family.” – Kofi Anan
The High School for Girls’ family is especially proud of her annual academic prowess. Our results are exceptional, year after year. In 2020, we once again produced a 100% pass rate, a university entrance rate of 87% and from our 103 candidates, a total of 216 distinctions was achieved. Over and above this, Asmaa Gani achieved 7 Distinctions with 91.29% average, and Natalie Strydom achieved 7 Distinctions too, with 90.71% average. We do have a lot to boast about! This is indeed a testament to our motto: hard work brings true joy, but also to the fact that quality teaching and learning takes place at this school.
Girls High follows the National Curriculum of South Africa, and writes the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. The results achieved by our girls enable them to study at a variety of universities around the world.
Girls High has excellent resources, to prepare and encourage young ladies who embrace independent, critical and creative decision-making. To this end, we offer the following subjects in Grades 10 to 12:
